Hei! Vi er et team som skal delta i "Rally" Mongolia 2012. Dette er et billøp som starter fra den legendariske Goodwood Speedway i England og går hele veien til Ulaan Baatar i Mongolia. Rally Mongolia er et veldedighetsarrangement som har som mål å samle inn penger til Lotus Barnesenter i Mongolia og til Kreftforeningen i Norge. Planen er å samle inn så mye som mulig til hver av veldedighetsorganisasjonene. Dette "rallyet" handler ikke om å komme først, men å komme dit i en bil som også kommer til å bli donert til veldedighet.
Dette er organisert av The Adventurists som er ett engelsk-basert selskap som organiserer veldedighet innsamling i ulike deler av verden.

Starten går i Goodwood Speedway - England 14 juli 2012 og varigheten avhenger av hindringer vi møter underveis, men regner med å være i mål 6 1/2 uke senere, noe som betyr rundt den 26. august 2012.

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..... Etter 44 dager gjennom 28 land og 26.315 kjørte km har jeg nå gjennomført Rally Mongolia 2012 og endt opp i Ulaan Baatar i Mongolia...dette med min egen rally bil til den ble påkjørt og vraka i Kyrgystan samt deltager hos New Zealanske Red Dog Racing og David Robertson sitt soloprosjekt...en roadtrip av dimensjoner:)

drove 350km today on some of the worlds worst roads...used 12 hours so the average speed wasnt high. Now camping in the mountains in traditional gers. Fitted 10 people in one. Met lots of other Rallyers on the roads who had lots of problems with engines, tyres, susspension etc. Had 3 flat tires throuout the day but had spares on the roof rack so diddent lose to muchtime on that...hoping getting to Ulaanbaataar on thursday...

made the Mongolian border last night but sadly there is 30 rally cars camped up at the border station. Met other rallyers that had spent 48 hours here. The reason its slow is money transfers between the adventurists and the Mongolian autorities. Bought beer and someone orderd å hole goat for 130US dollars. Goat testicles isnt to bad actually. Woke up to rain and 4 degrees, once more i have failed packing down the right gear...

Høye fjell, enorme avstander, geiteslakting, testikkelspising, historier fra andre rally deltagere, ganske rask behandling på grensa, snøbyger, regn, minusgrader, elendige veier, penger med bilde av Chingis Chan, dumplings, overnatting i ger, besøk hos lokale i deres hjem, upasteurisert melk, yak ost....noen ord fra MONGOLIA så langt:)

officially in Russia. Sun is gone, clouds have arrived. Bought breakfast at a supermarket at 16:35 and jumped into the car to drive against Mongolia. Still have 500 - 700 km to the border. Another long day in the car...

got stopped by the police last night getting a fin of 8000 tenge, but we only had 5000 and that was ok. Just give me what you have:) Tried to find a camp spot for the night but even then å cop came along telling us there was unsafe, im not sure the reason but we have entered bear country and with only 100km to the Russian border its also Bandit country. In 1 hour we will be in Russia...
