We're in New York and have just begun planning the journey. Right now, our lives revolve around route/vehicle/visas. We've created an ideal route that takes us through twenty nations, and some alternative routes that account for different visa scenarios (including a worst-case scenario that only requires each of us to get one visa.)

We've chosen UNICEF as our charity for this trip. Please click on the link on the site and donate to them on our behalf. We're going to be looking to stop at UNICEF locations throughout our journey. Their work has changed the world, and we must help them continue to do it.

We will keep you updated as the planning stage continues. Thank you for following our adventure.

Second team meeting

We held our second team meeting to talk about the gear list as we continue to bring together what we'll need:

As far as clothing, it's heavy on synthetics. They keep you dry and cool and tend not to smell as much as cotton. Beyond that, we're looking to keep things pretty sparse, and do a lot with as little as possible.

Got word that I had a couple of holes in my visa applications. Just filled them. Really glad to be done with that process. Moving on to finalizing the gear (still need a few things), and purchasing the car. -CAA
